To provide a spacer member improved in backlash suppression and abnormal sound generation preventing effects without impairing the external appearance of an assembly of a wiper blade and a wiper arm, in the spacer member interposed in a connecting part of the wiper blade and the wiper arm.
The spacer member 10 interposed in the connecting part of the wiper arm 2 and the wiper blade 3 is provided with a side plate 12 capable of being arranged along the inside of a side surface 5D of a retainer 5 of the wiper arm 2, an extension part 13 extended from the side plate 12 and an extension end 14 formed in the extension part 13. The extension end 14 is a cross-sectional U-shaped part constituted of an upper surface 14A and side walls 14B on both sides. Outward surfaces of the side walls 14B are formed with raised parts 18 abutting on the side surface 5D of the retainer 5. Inward surfaces of the side walls 14B have recessed parts 19 for preventing the generation of shrinkage and projecting parts 20 forming the recessed parts 19. The projecting parts 20 are made to abut on the side surface 3E of the wiper blade 3.
