To provide a drain pump having a horizontal shaft type submerged pump having various advantages as an improved drain pump usable even at a lower water level.
This drain pump with a float has the submerged pump 1 having a sideways main shaft 4, support legs 5 and 6 detachably installed in the submerged pump 1 for grounding and maintaining the submerged pump 1 in a predetermined action attitude, and a suction cover 3 having a fluid suction part 3B formed on one end and detachably installed in the submerged pump 1 in a state of communicating and connecting the other end with and to a fluid suction port 2 of the submerged pump 1, and is constituted so that the fluid suction part 3B becomes a height level of a grounding part or its vicinity of the support legs 5 and 6 in an installation state of installing the suction cover 3 in the submerged pump 1.
