Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a image quality by reducing a dark step. SOLUTION: A vertical resistor 80 at an optical black part comprises an Nadd region 86 acquired by additional N type ion implantation between an N+ type region 82 of an upper layer and a P type region 84 of a lower layer. An addition N type ion implantation like this, allows a potential of the vertical resistor 80 deeper than a vertical resistor 30 of an effective pixel, and a signal charge (in other words, dark signal) transferred by the vertical resistor 80 is increased by that amount. Here, the increment of signal charge generated by additional ion implantation like this is discriminated in advance by sample measurement, etc. The additional amount of ion implantation is decided so that the incriminate conforms to a dark component of a photosensor 20 contained in an imaging signal from the effective pixel. Thus, the increment offsets a dark component from the photosensor 20 of the effective pixel, for reduced dark step.
