To provide a solid high polymer type water electrolyzer where the removing/fitting operations of piping upon maintenance are reduced as possible, and which can be easily exchanged.
An electrolyzer through hole (13) vertically passing through a plurality of unit cells (5) at the center of a water electrolyzer (1) is provided, and the through hole (13) is communicated with either gas generation chamber at the inside of the water electrolyzer (1) and is also communicated with a mount through hole (14) provided at a mount (7). The bottom part of the vessel is provided with a vessel through hole (15) communicated with the mount through hole (14), and a lower gas exhaust port (16) is connected to the vessel through hole (15). Insulating seal materials (18) and (19) are interposed between an anode main electrode (3) and a top plate (6), and between a cathode main electrode (4) and the mount (7), respectively. The central part of the lower face in the mount (7) is provided with a tapered projecting part (20), further, the central part of the upper face in the bottom wall (21) of the vessel (2) is provided with a tapered recessed part (22), and the projecting part (20) is inserted into the recessed part (22).
