To provide a regenerative burner which cools a fuel nozzle without affecting low oxygen combustion, prevents rapid combustion and unifies a temperature distribution in a furnace while inhibiting overheating of heat reservoirs, when the low oxygen combustion is performed by using the regenerative burners.
The regenerative burner storing heat in the heat reservoir of a non-combustion burner and preheating the combustion air supplied to the burner by allowing the air to pass through the heat reservoir, while alternately performing combustion in the pair of burners 30A, 30B, 31A, 31B comprising the heat reservoirs 32A, 32B, 33A, 33B, comprises: the nozzles 54, 55 for supplying a fuel gas to the burners; and a nozzle cooling portion 40 for cooling the nozzles by supplying the air or nitrogen to the nozzles in non-combustion of the burners.
