Abstract:

To provide a new dopant material capable of aiming at the wave length-shortening of a light-emitting wave length and highly-brightening of an organic EL element, and an organic EL element by using the material.

This pyridone derivative is expressed by general formula (I) [wherein, R1is an aryl or a heterocyclic ring group without having N-atom; R2is an aryl or an aryl, a heterocyclic ring group without having N-atom or an alkoxycarbonyl; R3is an aryl, a heterocyclic ring group without having N-atom or an alkyl; and R4is H, an alkyl, an aryl, hydroxy or amino] and the organic electric field light-emitting (EL) element is also provided.
