The light quantity controller has at least one of blade members 205, 206, and a driving means 210 for changing the quantity of the luminous flux to be passed by opening and closing the blade members in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis, in which the blade members are arranged between first and second optical members 101 and 201. At least part of the blade members has a curved surface shape and the curved surface shape is formed to approximately the same shape as the curved surface shape on the blade member side on at least one of the first optical member and the second optical member.
