To save power for the management of a robot and to make the management low in cost.
In a robot management system constituted of communicatably connecting a robot 1 and a robot management apparatus 3 through a communication network 2, the robot 1 acquires history data at prescribed timing during the execution of a robot instruction program received from the robot management apparatus 3 or in the other period and transmits the acquired history data to the robot management apparatus 3 periodically or as the need arises. When abnormality is generated during the period, abnormality notification is transmitted to the robot management apparatus 3. At the time of receiving the abnormality notification from the robot 1 or as the need arises (e.g. in accordance with an operator's instruction), the robot management apparatus 3 edits/analyzes a plurality of past history data received from the robot 1 and displays the edited/analyzed result.
