Abstract:
To provide such a process of burning a zinc concentrate and treating the burnt concentrate with acid as not to lower a seepage rate of zinc from the burnt concentrate even when the zinc concentrate is obtained from a zinc ore containing 3% or more silicic acid.
This treatment method includes burning the zinc concentrate containing silicic acid at a burning temperature of 700 to 900°C in a so-called fluidized roaster which can control conditions such as the burning temperature, a burning period of time, an atmosphere and a pressure in the furnace, in a burning step.
