This information terminal includes: a first display means (LCD30) for displaying an icon showing prescribed information within the first display area of a display operation part; a second display means (LCD30) for displaying a plurality of selection buttons for alternatively selecting the categories of icons displayed in the first region by arranging them in the second display area of a display operation part; and a control means (CPU20a) for, when the prescribed selection button displayed in the second display area is selected, displaying the icon belonging to the category shown by the selection button in the first display area, and for, when the prescribed selection button displayed in the second display area is moved to a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the selection button, maintaining the selected state of the moved selection button, and for, when another selection button is selected, displaying the icons of the categories corresponding to all the selection buttons lying in the selected stated.
