Abstract:
To obtain an optical drop cable which reliably prevents damage to an optical fiber due to a cicada or the like and easily takes out an optical fiber core.
The optical drop cable 101 includes the optical fiber core 11, tension bodies 12 arranged in parallel on the both sides of the coated optical fiber core 11 with a gap, and an outer sheath 13 which totally coats them. The outer sheath 13 is formed of a polyolefin resin having a Shore D hardness (JIS K 7215) of at least 55 and at most 63, and slit-like notches 14 of semi-fused state are formed on the surface of the outer sheath, the front ends of the notches reaching the vicinity of the optical fiber core 11.
