To provide a mobile terminal device sufficiently adaptive to the case of replaying pieces of music using a removable external memory, and to provide a method of linking a playlist.
The mobile terminal device includes: a communication control section 12 capable of receiving a playlist which describes an order of replaying pieces of music; a storage means including a main-unit memory 16 that can store music data, and a removable external memory 17 that can store the music data; and a link control section 14 that links between music items, which are accessible to both of the main-unit memory 16 and the external memory 17 and included in the playlist, and the music data corresponding to the music items stored either in the main-unit memory 16 or in the external memory 17. The link control section 14 sets link preferentially based on memories that store music data and priority order information constituted of DRM classes of the music data.
