Abstract:

To provide a lubricating oil composition having excellent high-temperature cleanness, excellent performances maintaining a base number and having high abrasion inhibitory effects and suitable for diesel engines or direct injecting gasoline engines.

The lubricating oil composition comprises a non-dispersed type olefin (co)polymer-based viscosity index improver in an amount so as to provide ≥140 viscosity index of the composition, a phosphorus-containing abrasion inhibitor in an amount of 0.01-0.2 mass% in terms of the amount of phosphorus based on the total amount of the composition and a metallic cleaner in an amount of 0.01-1 mass% in terms of the amount of a metal based on the total amount of the composition in a base oil. Furthermore, the base oil has 1-8 mm2/s kinematic viscosity at 100°C, ≤-15°C pour point, ≥100°C aniline point and ≥40 mass% of paraffin content accounting for the saturated content, ≤60 mass% of the naphthene content and ≥6.3% amount of tertiary carbon atoms accounting for the total constituent carbon.
