To provide a multiplexed stream conversion device and method which facilitate a conversion processing of a multiplexed stream.
The multiplexed stream conversion device 200 comprises a TS multiplex separator 201, a video TS packet analyzer 202, a video ES converter 203, a video TS packet generator 204, a video TS packet buffer 205, a non-video TS packet buffer 206, a TS multiplexer 207, a video TS packet multiplexed position memory 208, and a video TS packet multiplexed position determinator 209. The video TS packet multiplexed position memory 208 stores a multiplexed position prior to conversion in the multiplexed stream, and the video TS packet multiplexed position determinator 209 determines the multiplexed position after conversion based on the multiplexed position prior to conversion.
