Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe method for removing and recovering a volatile organic compound at a reduced process cost without a risk of explosion of a VOC gas in a desorption gas, in a method for adsorbing and recovering a VOC-containing exhaust gas mixed with and absorbed by air.SOLUTION: In the method for removing and recovering the volatile organic compound which includes an adsorbing and removing process of removing the volatile organic compound by making the volatile organic compound in an exhaust gas adsorbed into an adsorbent through feeding the exhaust gas to an adsorbing column, and a desorbing and recovering process of recovering the volatile organic compound by desorbing the volatile organic compound adsorbed into the adsorbent through feeding a purge gas to the adsorbing column, by using the adsorbing column housing the adsorbent for adsorbing the volatile organic compound in the exhaust gas containing the volatile organic compound, the concentration of the volatile organic compound in the desorption gas discharged from the adsorbing column in the desorbing and recovering process is measured with an analyzer, and the amount of a purge gas flowing fed to the adsorbing column is controlled according to the measured value, in the repetition of the adsorbing and removing process and the desorbing and recovering process.
