Abstract:

To provide a catalyst carrier especially having improved heat-resistance, a conventional problem, and its production method.

The catalyst carrier is formed with the use of hexaaluminate containing 0.5-3 mol% nickel, wherein hexaaluminate is calcium hexaaluminate. In the production method of the catalyst carrier, basic aluminum chloride, sources of calcium and nickel, and water are mixed to be dried and desalinated, thereafter, fired at a temperature from 1,100 to 1,600°C.
