The paper sheet sealing apparatus has a sweeper 24 pressing the approximately central part of one surface in an accumulation direction of accumulated paper sheets 26 in the accumulation direction with a pressing surface, a mold-releasable sheet layer 24b mounted on the side opposite to the pressing surface of the sweeper 24, a support plate 29 curving the accumulated paper sheets 26 by supporting both ends of the other surface in the accumulation direction of the accumulated paper sheets 26 pressed by the sweeper 24, a band-winding mechanism 34 winding a band 21 around the curved paper sheets 26, ovelapping both ends of the band 21 on the mold releasable sheet layer 24b of the sweeper 24 and sealing it by heat-bonding, and a pulling out mechanism 39 pulling out the sweeper 24 from the band 21 after sealing the accumulated paper sheets 26 by the band-winding mechanism 34.
