To provide a data transmission/reception apparatus which makes a management terminal active in a network again while maintaining synchronization between clients and ensuring image stream transmission without interruption even when the management terminal stops operation during image stream transmission between client terminals.
The management terminal creates priority order information of a next terminal candidate after FCH (Frame Channel) frame generation finishes (S26). After creation of the priority order information, the management terminal transmits the FCH frame to each client terminal (S27), and succeedingly transmits the priority order information of the next management terminal candidate (S28). The priority order information is established so that an order of a client terminal assigned a fixed band for receiving data becomes a high rank.
