To provide an aeration agitator which can perform efficient aeration and agitation with a small amount of electric power.
The upper part of a rotary shaft 1 is fitted with an upper agitation blade 2 generating an upward flow, further, the lower part of the rotary shaft 1 is fitted with a lower agitation blade 3 generating a downward flow, the space between the upper and lower agitation blades 2, 3 is provided with a cylindrical body 4 having a water intake port 41 and covering the circumference of the rotary shaft 1, and an air diffusion device 5 feeding bubbles from cylindrical tubes 51, 52 at the upper and lower parts to the lower side of the lower agitation blade 3 and the upper side of the upper agitation blade 2 is provided.
