To eliminate the need of troublesome adjustment work of illumination light, and to provide the same illumination effect to the same goods regardless of a worker.
This lighting system 1 is provided with luminaires 2, information tags 3 attached to goods G, and having color/material information of the goods G recorded therein; and a setting remote control 4 detecting the color/material information. A lighting control part and a drive part of the luminaire 2 change the light color and light distribution of the illumination light based on the color/material information detected by the setting remote control 4. Thereby, the illumination light can be adjusted only by allowing the setting remote control 4 to detect the color/material information from the information tag 3. Accordingly, the need of troublesome adjustment work is obviated. Since the lighting control part and the drive part automatically change the light color and light distribution of the illumination light based on the color/material information, the same illumination effect can be provided to the same goods G regardless of a worker by attaching the information tags 3 with the same color/material information recorded therein to identical goods G.
