To provide an apparatus for producing plasma discharge treated water capable of dissolving ozone in water still at a high concentration for a long period of time to obtain ozone water suitable for long-term storage after producing the plasma discharge treated water, thereby eliminating the necessity to install the apparatus near a site using ozone water to increase convenience and mass productivity.
The apparatus for producing plasma discharge treated water comprises: a water tank V for reservoiring water; an anode electrode P for discharge disposed in air above a water surface of this water tank V; a cathode electrode M of which at least a part is present in water of this water tank V; and a high voltage discharge means E for performing high voltage discharge between the anode electrode P and the cathode electrode M so as to cause plasma discharge between the anode electrode P and the water surface by emitting excess electrons in water from the cathode electrode M, wherein plasma discharge treated water having a higher ozone concentration than the state before plasma discharge can be obtained in the water tank V by the plasma discharge.
