Abstract:

To provide a method for recovering gallium from a gallium raw material which is inexpensive, which has simple steps, where the separation of impurities, particularly indium, is good and where gallium is recovered in a high yield.

Gallium is selectively eluted in a liquid by bringing a large quantity of an alkali agent into contact with the gallium raw material containing impurities such as indium and the like at a specified temperature. Gallium can be simply separated from the impurities such as indium and the like by solid-liquid separation and recovered. A gallium-containing solution as it is can be used as a gallium electrolysis original liquid.
