To provide an organic electroluminescent element with high luminous intensity, high luminous efficiency, a long element life and easy to manufacture, with the use of a unconjugated polymer having a luminous function excellent in heat stability, preservation stability, and solubility as well as compatibility to a solvent and resin on light emission.
The organic electroluminescent element is structured of one or a plurality of organic compound layers pinched by a pair of electrodes comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode, of which at least either is transparent or translucent. At least one of the organic compound layers contains at least one kind of unconjugated polymer, of which at least either end group contains an electron transport compound.
