Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zinc secondary cell which has a remarkable effect to prevent elution of zinc hydroxide to an electrolyte and precipitation of zinc dendrite and can improve a cycle life of a cell significantly in a separator for a cell using zinc for a cathode. SOLUTION: The separator for a zinc secondary cell and the zinc secondary cell using above include a polymer containing a repeating structure unit having an amide structure shown in a formula (1) as a hydrophilic polymer. (In the formula, R<1> , R<2> represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of carbon number of 1 to 5 each independently, or a cyclopentane or a cyclohexane structure can be taken by joining of R<1> and R<2> ).
