Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal and an operation support method for supporting an operation on a menu selection picture.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 includes: a display part 11 for displaying a menu selection picture enabling a user to select and determine his or her desired menu item from among a plurality of menu items; an input part 12 for receiving an input from the user; a monitoring part 22 for monitoring an input state at the input part 12 after the menu selection picture is displayed at the display part 11; a determination part 23 for determining whether or not it is under condition that the user cannot find out his or her desired menu item based on the input state to the input part 12 monitored by the monitoring part 22; and a support part 24 for, when it is determined that it is under condition that the user cannot find out his or her desired menu item by the determination part 23, starting a function for supporting the user to search his or her desired menu item.
