A display mechanism 4 of the automatic teller machine is provided with an input part configured of a touch panel, and configured with a scale sufficient for covering the whole of a paper money input/output port 41 of a paper money mechanism 8 and a coin input/output port 42 of a coin mechanism 9, and installed at the casing of the automatic teller machine 1. After a user performs a necessary input operation by using the input part, the display mechanism 4 is moved to the inside of the automatic teller machine 1 when payment or dispensing is performed. Thus, the paper money input/output port 41 and the coin input/output port 42 are exposed so that it is possible for the user to cast and extract paper money and coins. Also, this automatic teller machine 1 is provided with an auxiliary display mechanism 14 configured to, display an operation guidance and announcement information or the like to the user when the display mechanism 4 is moved to the inside of the automatic teller machine 1.
