To provide a radiation image photographing apparatus which achieves a reduction in weight and improvement of handling performance of the apparatus during the movement, achieves a reduction in the cost of the entire apparatus, and prevents fog from being developed during the reading of radiation image information.
The radiation image photographing apparatus 10 comprises a dolly 12a mounting a cassette 36 for housing a storage type phosphor panel 38, a console 18, a display 19, an X-ray source control device 20, a transmitting and receiving device 22a, a battery 24a, and an X-ray source 30 and a dolly 12b mounting a reading device 16, a transmitting and receiving device 22b, and a battery 24b and separable from the dolly 12a. In this case, the dolly 12a and the dolly 12b on which the reading device 16 is mounted are separable by coupling devices 13a, 13b.
