Abstract:

To provide a novel N-acetyl-D-galactosamine transferase protein and a nucleic acid encoding the same, as well as a method of examining canceration using the same.

The N-acetyl-D-galactosamine transferase protein is characterized by transferring N-acetyl-D-galactosamine to N-acetyl-D-glucosamine with β1,3 linkage, and it preferably has a specific amino acid sequence or nucleic acid sequence. The method uses a nucleic acid for measurement which hybridizes under stringent conditions to measure transcription level of the nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide.
