Abstract:

To provide a crystal-oriented ceramic consisting of a polycrystal body of a perovskite type compound containing at least Pb and/or Ca and Ti, wherein a pseudo-cubic ä100} face is oriented at a high orientation, having a high relative density and also capable of controlling the composition relatively easily, to provide its manufacturing method and to provide an anisotropic-shape powder to be used for the ceramic and its manufacturing method.

The anisotropic-shape powder contains a second perovskite type compound containing at least Pb and/or Ca and Ti as a main phase, and its growth face is composed of the pseudo-cubic ä100} face and also an aspect ratio (Wa/ta) of a maximum length (wa) of the growth face to its thickness (ta) is ≥2. The crystal-oriented ceramic is composed of the polycrystal body containing a first perovskite type compound containing at least Pb and/or Ca and Ti as the main phase, and the pseudo-cubic ä100} face of each crystal grain constituting the polycrystal body is oriented.
