To provide a method of controlling the operation of drying clothes in a bathroom heater/dryer by executing a cool air operation for blowing cool air into a bathroom by operating a circulation fan and operating a ventilation fan for only a period obtained by subtracting a drying operation time TMk determined according to the room temperature in the bathroom from a total operation time TMtol, and executing the drying operation for blowing hot air into the bathroom by operating the circulation fan and a heating means and operating the ventilation fan for only the drying operation time TMk within the preset total operation time TMtol, so that waste of energy by the excessive drying operation if the total operation time is set long can be prevented.
The drying operation time TMk is determined by considering not only the room temperature in the bathroom but also the total operation time TMtol so that the drying operation time TMk becomes the shorter as the total operation time TMtol becomes the longer.
