To provide a bath device using a conventionally existing switch for a cleaning switch to clean a circulating heating type reheating circuit and capable of saving use water amount and considering environmental problems.
When a "tepid water switch" is operated, a current water level within a bathtub is compared with a reference water level (S2), and a purpose of the operation of the "tepid water switch" is determined depending on whether the current water level is higher or lower than the reference water level. When the current water level is lower than the reference water level, it is determined that the "tepid water switch" is operated for the purpose of piping cleaning, and water amount made to drop in to a bath circuit is reduced compared to a case where hot water temperature within the bathtub is lowered. Thus, compared to a conventional bath device making the same amount of water drop in even for the purpose of lowering the hot water temperature and for the purpose of cleaning piping, use water amount can be saved and environment can be taken into consideration.
