To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of reducing the weight and size of a constant velocity universal joint and securing transmission torque capacity.
The constant velocity universal joint 3 is equipped with: an outside joint member in which a first outside track groove 14a and a second outside track groove 14b are arranged alternately at a predetermined pitch along the circumferential direction; an inside joint member in which a first inside track groove 16a and a second inside track groove 16b are arranged alternately at a predetermined pitch along the circumferential direction; a first ball 7a rolling in a first ball track composed of the first outside track groove 14a and the first inside track groove 16a; a second ball 7b rolling in a second ball track composed of the second outside track groove 14b and the second inside track groove 16b; and a cage 8 for holding the first ball 7a and the second ball 7b. There are eight torque transmission balls 7 in total. The curvature radius of each of the track grooves 14a, 14b, 16a, 16b of the first ball track and the second ball track are shifted in the opposite directions of the axial direction with respect to the joint central plane by an equal distance.
