Abstract:
To provide a surface treatment method for a spring can shorten treatment time and efficiently perform treatment while securing excellent compression residual stress and surface roughness equal to that of a multi-stage conventional shot peening.
In the surface treatment method for the spring for applying compression residual stress to a treating material 1 in a plurality of stages of processes of shot peening, the same type of a projection material 2 having the same particle size is used in shot peening in the whole processes, and a range to which the compression residual stress is applied can be changed by changing projection speed of the projection material 2.
