To provide an imaging device capable of performing reproduction display on which photographer's intention to take a still picture is reflected, and a communication system including the imaging device.
The imaging device includes an imaging unit which generates image data by collecting light from a predetermined visual field area and photoelectrically converting the collected light, a display unit which displays an image corresponding to the image data generated by the imaging unit, an input unit which receives a signal including a release signal instructing photography by the imaging unit, an operation decision unit which determines operations performed on the imaging device, a converted image generation unit which generates a converted image by subjecting a photographed image photographed by the imaging unit to predetermined conversion based upon an operation performed before the release signal is input by the input unit among the operations decided by the operation decision unit, and a control unit which controls the display unit to display the photographed image and the converted image, generated by the converted image generation unit based upon the photographed image, successively in predetermined order.
