Abstract:

To improve a contrast feeling for each of images constituting a composite image.

A video display which displays a composite image of a plurality of input images includes: feature detection units 111A and 111B which detect feature quantities of the input images; a feature operation unit 111C which finds a correction value to be used for contract corrections of all the input images based on the respective detected feature quantity; video signal processing units 112A and 112B which perform at least processes for correcting contrasts of the respective input images based on the found correction value; a composition unit 113 which generates the composite image composed of the respective contrast-corrected images; and a screen 131 on which the generated composite image is displayed.
