To provide a structure and a construction method for installing a solar battery on an exposed waterproof layer without use of a base.
In this solar battery installation structure, the metal plate-integrated solar battery is installed on the exposed waterproof layer. The structure and the method for installing the metal plate-integrated solar battery are characterized in that the exposed waterproof layer, an elastic mortar layer composed of a synthetic resin emulsion with a Tg temperature of -40 to -80°C and hydraulic cement and containing a 3-20 wt.% resin component, an adhesive layer, and the metal plate-integrated solar battery are joined together in this order. The solar battery can be installed without damaging the exposed waterproof layer or requiring countermeasures against a strong wind, and installed on the exposed waterproof layer of an existing building by a simple method. This can increase the utilization of the solar battery.
