To provide a document creation device capable of editing a sentence of a paper size that can not be printed by a provided printing means and making an external device print the edited sentence.

The document creation device includes a printing means as a printing mechanism for executing printing on printing paper of a 2L size or smaller, a document editing means that can editing even a text file of a paper size that exceeds the 2L size that can not be printed by the printing means, a printing data file creating means for creating a printing data file for each page of the text file, a text information storing means for storing the text file and the printing data file in a portable storage medium, and allows an external printer to print contents of the text file by storing contents of the text file edited by the document editing means as a printing data file in the portable storage medium.
