To provide an exposure calculating device which obtains continuously photographed images excellent in exposure balance and to provide an imaging apparatus.

The exposure calculating device includes: a photometric means 137 for repeatedly performing the photometry of a luminous flux from an object; a first detecting means 170 detecting the fluctuation of the brightness of the object, based on the photometric results of the photometric means; a second detecting means 170 for obtaining the latest photometric results among the photometric resultss of repeatedly performing the photometry by the photometric means; and a calculating means 170 for calculating an exposure value with respect to the luminous flux, based on the fluctuation of the brightness and the latest photometric results.
