Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unevenness of exposure in the scanning direction of a shutter due to difference of a lens in a shutter mechanism combining a mechanical shutter and an electronic shutter.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises image sensors which receive light having passed through an optical unit and store the light as charges, a mechanical shutter which travels to block the light incident on the image sensors, a scanning unit which scans each region of the image sensors sequentially to start storage of charges, and a control unit which controls the timing for starting the travelling of the mechanical shutter and the timing of scanning for starting storage of charges by the scanning unit. The control unit sets the timing of scanning for starting storage of charges in each region of the image sensors, so that unevenness of the amount of exposure of the image sensors due to the traveling of the mechanical shutter is reduced.
