Abstract:
An O-ring seal is placed in a seal pack and retainer receiving bore defined by a connector body (214) in sealing relation with the outer cylindrical sealing surface (224) of a male part (212). An outer spacer is placed within the bore between the O-ring seal and the rib of the connector body. The outer spacer retains the O-ring seal in the O-ring receiving portion. The outer spacer has a rearward radial annular insertion surface that abuts with the forward facing radial annular surface on the ring of a tube retainer. Independent claims are included for (1) method of forming the fluid coupling assembly; (2) cap; (3) preassembled sub-assembly.
