This heat storage device includes a first container 131 in which a working medium of low concentration is sealed in a liquid-phase state, a second container 141 in which a working medium of high concentration is sealed in a liquid-phase state, a liquid flow channel 150 for discharging the liquid-phase working medium in the first container 131 into the second container 141, a gas flow channel 160 for discharging the gas-phase working medium in the second container 141 into the first container 131, a condenser 132 for condensing the gas-phase working medium in the first container 131, and an evaporator 142 for evaporating the liquid-phase working medium in the second container 141, and recovering the heat of dilution released in diluting the working medium in the second container 141. This heat storage device can be set in a heat recovering mode for recovering the heat of dilution, a heat storage mode for storing heat, and a heat storage keeping mode for keeping heat storage.
