To provide an active energy ray curable composition giving an organic-inorganic hybrid resin coating film having excellent curability and scratch resistance and highly balanced hardness and shrinking resistance and enabling easy impartment of various functions such as antistaticity and stainproofness.

The invention provides an active energy ray curable composition containing (A) an ethylenic unsaturated compound having an acetoacetyl group and (B) a metal compound capable of forming a chelate with the acetoacetyl group of the compound A, and an active energy ray curable composition containing an active energy curable metal chelate compound formed from (A) an ethylenic unsaturated compound having an acetoacetyl group and (B) a metal compound capable of forming a chelate with the acetoacetyl group of the compound A.
