Abstract:
An apparatus for a pretreatment for the membrane filtration of high-hardness raw water is provided which can effectively inhibit scale deposition on a reverse osmosis membrane used in a later step. This apparatus is low in running cost and has a simple configuration. The pretreatment apparatus for the membrane filtration of high-hardness raw water comprises a crystallization reaction tank which has a two-stage structure and has been disposed before an apparatus for the membrane filtration of high-hardness raw water. This pretreatment apparatus is characterized in that the crystallization reaction tank of a two-stage structure comprises: a first tank into which high-hardness raw water flows; and a second tank of an ascending flow type which has been connected to the top of the first tank and into which the water present in the first tank is injected through the bottom. The apparatus is further characterized in that the first tank is equipped with an alkali injection means and serves as an alkali contact tank, and that the second tank is equipped, in an upper part thereof, with a flocculant injection means and a stirrer and further equipped, in a lower part thereof, with an accumulation part for a sediment settling from the upper part and with a sludge discharge means.
