This imaging apparatus includes: a first light reception means having a plurality of light reception elements arranged therein for outputting a first signal obtained by receiving luminous flux; a second light reception means arranged at a location different from that of the first light reception means for outputting a second signal obtained by receiving the luminous flux; a first correction section for performing shading correction to the first signal based on a location on the arrangement of the light reception elements; and a second correction section for performing shading correction to the second signal based on the first signal corrected by the first correction section.
