Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow transactions using a card even in the case that information cannot be read from a storage medium which the card has.SOLUTION: An automatic transaction system includes: a readout determination part which determines whether transaction-relevant information can be normally read out from a card having a storage medium where card identification information and the transaction-relevant information are stored; a surface image acquisition part which acquires a surface image of the card; a surface image storage part where a surface image is stored; a surface image writing part which, if it is determined that the transaction-relevant information can be normally read out, writes the acquired surface image and the card identification information into the surface image storage part in association with each other; an identity determination part which, if it is determined that the transaction-relevant information cannot be normally read out, reads out the existing surface image from the surface image storage part to determine whether the existing surface image and the acquired surface image are identical to each other; and a transaction permission/inhibition determination part which determines transactions to be possible if they are identical to each other, but determines transactions to be impossible if they are not identical to each other.
