Abstract:
To provide a lens barrel enhanced in adaptability for a camera body.
The lens barrel includes: a diaphragm mechanism capable of adjusting the area of an aperture through which light passes; a control means that performs the drive control of the diaphragm means; and a receiving means that receives first information showing whether or not the camera body can control the diaphragm mechanism. When the first information shows that the camera body can control the diaphragm mechanism, the control means performs the drive control of the diaphragm mechanism on the basis of the control signal from the camera body.
