To provide a cogeneration system which enables operation reducing the consumption of primary energy, expense for lighting and fuel, or the like.
The cogeneration system 1 supplies power and heat generated by an apparatus 100 for feeding power and heat and power input from a commercial power system 50. In the cogeneration system 1, a demand forecasting operation part 85 forecasts demanded power and demanded heat. In addition, in order to supply the power and heat depending on the demanded power and demanded heat for each operation method of the apparatus 100 for feeding power and heat, a forecasting energy consumption operation part 86 calculates a first forecasted consumption related to fuel used in the apparatus 100 for feeding power and heat and a second forecasted consumption related to fuel needed to generate system power. In addition, an optimal operation selector 87 selects an operation method based on the first and second forecasted consumptions and, and a controller 13 controls the operation of the apparatus 100 for feeding power and heat based on the selected operation method.
