Abstract:
To provide a method for pre-examining whether or not secondary failure is easily developed by administration of a sulfonylurea agent, and to provide an examination kit, a primer, and a probe used for the method.
The method for predicting the development of the secondary failure in advance when the sulfonylurea agent represented by general formula (I): R1-SO2NHCONH-R2is administered includes collecting a gene from a subject; and detecting the presence or absence of at least one kind of polymorphism selected from among the group consisting of (A) 596C>T polymorphism of GPX1 gene; (B) IVS15-3T>C polymorphism of ABCC8 gene; (C) 79A>C polymorphism of HNF1A gene; (D) -1123A>G polymorphism of NFE2L2 gene; and (E) IVS15-29246C>T polymorphism of KCNQ1 gene. The examination kit, the primer, and the probe are used for the method.
