To provide a video display device and a multi-display device for achieving a display screen which can be viewed as an integrated unit and does not make a viewer feel a sense of incongruity by enhancing the quality of the display screen by dynamically changing brightness of a light source in accordance with the scene of video even when the display screen is constituted of a plurality of video display devices.
Video signal feature data for the display screen of a plurality of video display devices is adjusted so that diaphragm driving data for dynamically changing the brightness of the light source in accordance with the scene of video becomes equal among the plurality of video display devices constituting the display screen. Thus, the display screen which can be viewed as the integrated unit and does not make the viewer feel the sense of incongruity, and whose display quality is enhanced can be attained.
