To provide a steering device of a motorcycle controlling the attitude of the motorcycle at low speeds by a power assist means, and obtaining the most suitable steering ratio in the entire speed region by using a ratio variable means.
The steering device of the motorcycle includes the power assist means W1 giving an auxiliary steering force by a second motor M2 in accordance with an input torque Mz input to a handlebar 5, a steering ratio variable means S1 varying a steering ratio j, which is a ratio of a turning angle of the handlebar 5 to a steering angle of a front wheel WF, by a first motor M1, a vehicle speed detecting means 92 detecting a vehicle speed V, an input torque detecting means 48 detecting an input torque Mz, a steering ratio detecting means 92 detecting the steering ratio j, a roll angular speed detecting means 93 detecting an angular speed ω of a vehicle body in a roll direction, and a control part 100 controlling the first and second motors M1, M2. The control part 100 controls the second motor M2 based on the vehicle speed V, the input torque Mz, and the angular speed ω in the roll direction, and controls the first motor M1 based on the vehicle speed V and the steering ratio j.
